Once every 0.2 seconds, the duration is 3 seconds! A mysterious signal from 1 billion light-years away, what is it?

This is real! A radio “heartbeat”-like signal from 1 billion light-years away, lasting up to 3 seconds, has been published in the journal “Nature”

Of course, when it comes to extraterrestrial radio signals, everyone’s first reaction may be whether it is extraterrestrial life or aliens.

And in 2022, my country’s “Sky Eye” has also continuously captured mysterious signals, making more people believe that extraterrestrial life or aliens really exist. So what exactly is this time? Does extraterrestrial life or aliens really exist?

Let’s first discuss whether extraterrestrial life or aliens exist, starting with the “Chinese Sky Eye”.

China’s Sky Eye catches a “mysterious signal”

“China Sky Eye” is no stranger to everyone. This is a major scientific and technological project in my country – the 500-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST).

In June 2022, it was reported again that several cases of possible technological traces and extraterrestrial civilization candidate signals from outside the earth were found.

And this signal is different from many of our previous discoveries. These are several narrow-band electromagnetic signals that are different from the past. Therefore, it has once again triggered everyone’s exploration of extraterrestrial life.

That’s from – Dan Werheimer, chief scientist at the Center for Extraterrestrial Civilizations at the University of California, Berkeley, said that the suspicious signal detected by China’s Sky Eye in 2022 – is very likely to be some kind of radio interference. So, it may mean that it comes from the earth itself, we got it wrong.

Of course, our country has not stated that for the time being, and the results of this research may be announced in succession in the future. However, after seeing the news, many people said that China’s Tianyan may have discovered “extraterrestrial life”, but then again, we do not have any evidence to prove this problem, so it is impossible to determine whether it has been discovered.

As for the exploration of extraterrestrial life or aliens in recent years, everyone maintains a “skeptical” attitude. Some people say yes, some say no.

1 billion light-years away, another mysterious radio signal came out, and this is also a special mysterious signal. What is it?

Lasts up to 3 seconds! Mysterious signal from 1 billion light-years away

Astronomers have detected a peculiar “heartbeat”-like signal from a galaxy billions of light-years away in space, according to research published in the journal Nature.

According to the time of release, this signal is actually in 2019, but it is very special, so it has been studied by everyone for a long time.

Daniel Midgley, a researcher from the United States, said that the special signal emitted by this mysterious signal, which lasts for up to 3 seconds, is about 1,000 times that of a typical fast radio burst.

So, very unusual. For most fast radios – it’s not going to be that long, and this time not only was it very long, about three seconds, but there were very precise periodic peaks that occurred every second Boom, boom, boom – like a heartbeat.

Therefore, we also call it the “heartbeat” signal. And this signal also has a “periodicity” of its own. Researcher Midgley pointed out that there are not many things in the universe that can emit such regular periodic signals. Radio waves that repeat every 0.2 seconds are like a beating heart, so quite rare.

What is the mysterious signal this time? what happened there?

In the final study, the signal is somewhat similar to that released by two different types of neutron stars, or the dense remnants of giant star deaths, called radio pulsars and magnetars.

That’s probably a magnetar or pulsar on steroids, and that’s the conclusion given, because the magnetar’s signal is extremely explosive, it’s a neutron star with an incredibly strong magnetic field. In the process of changing the neutron star, pulses will be generated.

This time, the signal is stronger than that of conventional stellar objects, and the signal brightness is more than 1 million times, so this conclusion is made.

However, astronomers have not been able to give the exact location and cause of the explosion. So, it’s not known what exactly happened 1 billion light-years away. To put it bluntly, this conclusion is also an estimated conclusion, which has not yet been determined. In addition, the team also said that the exact galaxy where the signal burst originated has not been determined.

So, for the time being, what we know is that this is a mysterious periodic signal, and at the same time, it has given a name-FRB 20191221A, and there is no excessive data for the time being.

However, according to the research team, the research team will continue to use CHIME to monitor for more signals from this radio pulse, as well as other signals with similar periodic properties.

At least from this point of view, there is a high probability that the problem of extraterrestrial civilization is ruled out, so it has little relationship with extraterrestrial civilization. Of course, it was discovered that if we see more in the future, then we can pinpoint exactly what it is, we will wait and see.

And finally, let’s emphasize that the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations or aliens has been the focus of everyone’s attention over the years.

Many people have said that there may be extraterrestrial civilizations or aliens on Mars, but there is still no result. Therefore, there is no definition of which celestial body outside the earth has life. Humans can only know if they can accelerate the exploration of extraterrestrial civilizations, otherwise everything is “unknown”, and we will explain it when there are relevant discoveries in the future.
